How long is The Blood of Dawnwalker?

Two different answers, because the question hides two different units: real hours on your clock, and the 30 in-game days everyone asks about. They have almost nothing to do with each other.

In real hours

12.9h

main story8 submissions — early and thin.

27.9h

story plus side contentThe number most players will land near.

54.3h

completionistEvery quest, every achievement.

From HowLongToBeat, read in the game’s first week. These are player submissions and there are only 8 for the main story so far, so expect the figures to move as more people finish. The all-styles average is 25.7 hours.

In in-game days

The story itself runs 7–10 of the 30 days by PowerPyx’s estimate, and one PC Gamer reviewer finished with fifteen to spare. Every one of the 46 side quests with a published cost comes to 109–130 segments against a derived budget of 480— roughly a quarter. So the answer to “can I do everything before time runs out” is yes, with room, and the honest constraint is not the total but which quests are locked to day or night and the prologue’s separate, genuinely tight budget.

If you want the arithmetic done for your own list of quests rather than in the abstract, that is what the planner is for.

Why the two numbers drift apart

  • Exploration is free. Hours spent crossing Vale Sangora, clearing camps and climbing towers add to your real time and subtract nothing from the 30 days.
  • Combat is free. Killing enemies is the time-efficient way to earn XP precisely because it costs no segments.
  • Some costs land mid-quest. A quest can charge part of its cost at the start and more later, so a long quest in real hours is not necessarily an expensive one in days.
  • The prologue is the exception. It is short in real time and brutal in segments — the one place where the in-game clock, not your patience, decides what you get to do.

Hours, in-game days and the prologue

How long is The Blood of Dawnwalker?
HowLongToBeat lists roughly 13 hours for the main story, 28 hours for the story plus side content, and 54 hours to complete everything. Those come from player submissions and the game is a week old, so treat them as early.
Is 30 in-game days the same as 30 hours?
No. The 30 days are a budget of time segments you spend on quest objectives; walking, fighting and fast travel cost nothing. You can play for many real hours without a single in-game day passing. Real playtime and the in-game clock are unrelated.
Can you finish the story before the 30 days run out?
Comfortably. Guides put the main story at 7–10 in-game days of the 30, and one reviewer finished with 15 days spare. The clock is not the constraint on story length.
How long does the prologue take?
There is no reliable real-time figure yet. In in-game terms it runs on its own small budget of 7 or 8 segments depending on the source (Game8 says 7, PC Gamer lays out 8), and one PC Gamer writer spent about fifteen real hours replaying it to find an order they were happy with — which says more about the routing puzzle than the length.
